Kiwanis Club of North Las Vegas
Since its establishment in 2005, the Kiwanis Club of North Las Vegas has been committed to serving children and families. The club supports local schools, sponsors youth leadership programs like Key Club and K-Kids, and leads hands-on community service projects. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 6:00 PM at Winchell’s Pub & Grill, 5445 Simmons St., North Las Vegas, NV 89130. New members are always welcome.
Dolores Huerta Resource Center
Opened in April 2025, the Dolores Huerta Resource Center serves as a comprehensive hub offering free educational classes, health services, legal workshops, technology training, workforce development courses, and cultural events. Located at 2250 Las Vegas Blvd. North, the center underscores the city’s commitment to providing accessible resources to all residents.
Community Outreach Initiatives
The City of North Las Vegas’s Community Outreach division hosts events throughout the year to foster community engagement. Annual events include the Back to School Giveaway in August, Halloween Trunk-or-Treat in October, Turkey Giveaway in November, and Toy Giveaway in December.
